Katherine is the Practice Director of FP Lawyers and leads the team across all our offices in all areas of expertise. She has over 20 years' experience and specialises in Commercial and Taxation Law as a CPA member she has worked with individuals, SMEs, and listed and unlisted public companies.

Katherine holds a Master of International Tax, a Juris Doctor (Post Graduate degree in Law), a Bachelor of Business (Business Law & Taxation). Katherine is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). She is currently undertaking further studies in a Master of Applied Laws and Master of Laws in Wills & Estates and Family Law.

Katherine’s areas of expertise include Private business, Taxation Law, Superannuation, Dispute resolution, Tax and Structuring, Commercial Contracts and Dealings, Restructuring and Insolvency, International Tax, Foreign Investment, Government Services, Wills and Estates Planning and Administration, Trusts including Special Disability Trusts, and Family Law matters.

Her philosophy is that litigation should be the last, not the first resort.

Katherine’s direct intervention with the Australian Taxation Office has often resulted in a quick and inexpensive resolution which could have otherwise be a lengthy and expensive court case, making her a respected taxation lawyer in Brisbane.

Kaycee Biggins

Kaycee has been part of the FP Lawyers team for 10 years, previously working in Conveyancing for 8 years whilst studying her Bachelor of Laws. Kaycee leads our Conveyancing team and specialises in complex Conveyancing, Pre-contractual Advice, off the plan and Retirement Contracts, Conveyancing Disputes and third party conveyancing. Kaycee also assists in Estate Administration matters involving the disposal or transfer of estate properties.
